Soil Test Center at Sona college of Technology

Department of Civil Engineering, Sona College of Technology, conducts various types of soiltests for building construction works and also road development works that depend on the properties of soil. Soil tests for construction of buildings or any structure is the first step in construction planning to understand the suitability of soil for any proposed construction work.

The tests on soil conducted are

• Moisture content test,
• Atterberg limits tests,
• Specific gravity of soil,
• Dry density of soil and -Compaction test (Proctor’s test).
